On March 24th and 25th Fraunhofer UMSICHT participated in the BIO-raffiniert XI congress that was held online due to the recent COVID situation. They presented a poster containing information relating to the nature of the project and what the German pilot aims to do, including the infographic created for that purpose. The event was attended by an audience of 40 individuals, mainly from the fields of industry and science.
CPV participated in the Congrés BIT2022 on March 24th, 2021. The event was held face to face in VIC, Catalonia, and its main theme revolved around the Circular Economy. 80 people attended, mainly those working in scientific fields, as well as researchers, and students.
UVic-UCC participated in the 4th Phosphorus in Europe Research meeting (PERM) on June 2nd, 2021. The theme of the event related to manure nutrient recycling, nutrient recovery from sewage and wastewater, contaminants, safety, LCA, fertiliser properties and user uptake of recycled nutrient materials and nutrient stewardship. It was attended by 100-150 researchers, industry representatives and policymakers.
UVic-UCC participated in the PATT conference: Options for the treatment of livestock manure on June 30th,2021. The theme of the event related to the right management and recovery of livestock manure to minimise their environmental impact and enhance the circular bioeconomy. This event was attended by 100 people, mainly policymakers, industry representatives and farmers.
INTA participated in the Technical Talks on circular economy applied to pig farming on June 20th and 21st, 2021. It was a 2-day event attended by 15 pig farmers and cattle farming professionals.
The FERTIMANURE project was presented during a series of technical talks and the explanatory video was also shown. The theme of the event related to the disposal and recycling of the waste generated by pig production, an issue that worries producers who are open to ideas about obtaining fertilisers from waste emanating from pig production.
