In a Parallel session on 21 June, Berta Singla of the BETA Technological Centre in Vic, Spain, addressed the question of new fertilisers for nutrient sustainability, in particular nutrient recovery from pig slurry and the production and agronomic quality assessment of added value bio-based fertilisers in the FERTIMANURE project.
Rubén Rodriguez-Alegre, of the LEITAT Technological Centre & Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, also presented some results of FERTIMANURE project, with a particular focus on the results obtained in the pig slurry liquid fraction valorisation using an innovative integration of membrane technologies for nutrient recovery.

The 2022 edition was the biggest conference on phosphorus ever worldwide, and with PERM5 (the 5th Phosphorus Research in Europe Meeting), a total of 20 plenary and parallel sessions presented the opportunity for over 60 presentations to take place.
